lyrics

I bury myself in work so I don't bury myself in dirt. I'm running a race to keep from stagnation. My friends lack self-confidence, and I am no different. My heart is breaking in Eastern Standard Time because we've all been feeling sad. We all found different ways to numb the pain; while they all were getting high, I just stayed inside. My head is spinning faster every day. Will this be the year my insecurities get the best of me? I moved across state lines to try to heal this battered mind, but I'm not quite sure it helped. I think it only made things worse as we grew farther apart because we've all been feeling sad. We all found different ways to numb the pain; while they all were getting high, I just stayed inside my head. We all fell behind. Some nights I still want to die, but I've been doing better on this end, and I don't know if these purple pills are working, but I'll take them anyway and hope for brighter days. I still hope for brighter days.
